for the Fourth Biennial Graduate Philosophy Conference
October 5-6, 2007

Conference Theme: Ethics and the Environment
Keynote Speaker: Bryan Norton, Professor of Philosophy, Georgia Institute of
Technology

The goal of the conference is to bring graduate students working on
philosophical issues related to the environment into a collaborative
atmosphere. While we invite submissions on any philosophical subject, papers
related to the theme of ethics and the environment are encouraged. Welcomed
topics include:
Environmental impacts of technology; climate change; future generations;
environmental aesthetics; environmental justice; policy making regarding the
environment; conceptions of quality of life; animal rights; environmental
effects on health
Submissions should be approximately 3000 words and must have been written by
current graduate students. Papers are sent for blind review and should not
contain references that identify the author. Please submit
1) the paper, and
2) a cover page with the paper's title and the author's name and email address
as Word or PDF attachments to
